Golden Globe winner Claire Danes from the smash series Homeland stars alongside James Marsden, Sarah Bolger, Thomas Mann and Jeremy Sisto in the comedy drama.

Matt Williams and Judd Payne of Wind Dancer Films are producing with Anthony Mastromauro of Identity Pictures. Wind Dancer’s David McFadzean and Dete Meserve serve as executive producers with Ginger Sledge.

Max Mayer directs As Cool As I Am from Virginia Korus Spragg’s adapted screenplay of the novel by Pete Fromm. The project is in post and centres on the teenage daughter of young parents who escapes her turbulent life by watching cookery shows.

The cast includes TV celebrity chef Mario Batali and Peter Fonda.

“As Cool As I Am is a funny, intelligent and spirited take on the relationship between a mother and daughter,” said Steinbauer.

“It’s a perfect cast for this touching, light-hearted film where the phrase ‘raising a kid is hard, raising your mom is harder’ comes into sharp focus. This is just the kind of film I love and I am just thrilled to be looking after the international roll-out.”

Radiant Films International’s AFM slate includes Arab immigrant drama The Citizen, Andrew Levitas’ drama Lullaby, Madame Bovary starring Mia Wasikowska, Paul Giamatti and Ezra Miller and The Yellow Handkerchief with William Hurt, Maria Bello and Kristen Stewart.
