The Solution Entertainment Group has struck a multi-territory deal here with Sony on red-hot Miles Teller starrer following Open Road’s $4m swoop on US rights at the weekend.
Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions acquired the boxing drama for Germany, France, Spain, Benelux, Canada, Scandinavia, Australia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, Greece and South Africa.
As previously announced Icon acquired Bleed For This for the UK.
In other new deals, rights have gone in Italy (Notorious Pictures), CIS/Baltic States (Enjoy Movies), Portugal (Lusomundo), Japan (Phantom Film), Hong Kong (Panorama Entertainment) and South Korea (With Lion).
Deals also closed in Israel (Forum Film), Middle East (Eagle Films), Turkey (Pinema), India (PictureWorks), Indonesia (Queen International Pictures), Taiwan (Red Pictures), Pan Asia satellite TV (Tanweer) and international airlines to Cinesky Pictures.
Ben Younger directs Bleed For This, which is in post and stars Teller as boxing comeback king Vinny Pazienza. Aaron Eckhart also stars.
