Vesuvio Entertainment has boarded sales rights for the drama about the relationship between music promoter “Punkin Pie” Irene Laughlin and actress Lana Clarkson, who died in Phil Spector’s mansion in 2003.
Vincent Spano will direct and Leslie King wrote the screenplay from a story by Laughlin. Casting is under way and Vesuvio plans an early 2013 shoot in Los Angeles.
Documentary Craiglist Joe will receive its world market premiere and follows a man who embarks on a month-long journey across the US funded by strangers he contacts through the classified ads website.
Vesuvio CEO Greg H Sims and his team has also set a market premiere for Nicholas Reiner’s marriage drama All Dark Places. The slate includes the company’s first in-house production Behind Your Eyes.
