CinemaNX announces cast for its sixth feature film, TheDisappearance Of Alice Creed, to begin shooting February 9 on The Isle of Man.
Gemma Arterton (Quantum Of Solace, St Trinian’s), Eddie Marsan (Happy-Go-Lucky, Hancock) and Martin Compston (Sweet Sixteen, Red Road) will star in The Disappearance Of Alice Creed, a contemporary kidnap thriller directed by first time feature director, J Blakeson.
The film follows two men, Vic (Marsan) and Danny (Compston), as they carry out an immaculately planned kidnap of wealthy Alice Creed (Arterton). Blakeson previously co-wrote Celador’s horror sequel The Descent 2 and wrote and directed the short films Pitch Perfect and The Appointment.
The film’s chief financiers, CinemaNX, backed by the Isle of Man government, have a further three films in production this year: Heartless (written and directed by Stephen Ridley), Wild Target (starring Bill Nigh and Helena Bonham Carter) and the animation piece, Chico And Rita.
