BAFTA/LA will honour Jeff Bridges and Betty White at the 2010 BAFTA/LA Britannia Awards on November 4 in Los Angeles.
Bridges, who won the Oscar this year for Crazy Heart and will star later this year in True Grit and Tron: Legacy, will collect the Stanley Kubrick Britannia Award for Excellence In Film.
White (Hot in Cleveland, The Proposal) will receive the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence In Comedy.
“It doesn’t get much better than honoring two true Hollywood veterans in their own right,” BAFTA/LA chairman Nigel Lythgoe said. “Betty White is a comedy icon whose quick wit and everlasting energy is second to none; and Jeff Bridges’ remarkable ability to immerse himself into each role he plays epitomises his multi-faceted career.”
Bridges and White join the previously announced Britannia honorees Christopher Nolan and Michael Sheen. Actor and writer Stephen Fry will return as master of ceremonies for the second consecutive time.
