Seoul-based distributor CJ Entertainment has pre-sold JK Youn’s tsunami-attacks-Busan filmHaeundaeto VSG for Singapore and Malaysia.

’Haeundae is a concept film with high production values - Hans Ulrich who worked on A Perfect Storm, Star Wars 4 and 5, and The Day After Tomorrow is supervising the CGI, and so far it looks great. It’s been attracting buyers since we opened sales for it in Berlin,’ says Kini Kim, senior vice president of international film financing & distribution at CJ.

The film already sold to Turkey, Hungary and Czech Republic at EFM.

The film stars Sol Kyung-gu from the Public Enemy trilogy, Ha Ji-won (Duelist), Park Joong-hoon (Radio Star), Uhm Jung-hwa (All For Love).

Kang Woo-suk’s hit detective thriller Public Enemy Returns, also starring Sol, sold to Palisades Tartan for the US and UK. Palisades previously picked up Park Chan-wook’s Thirst from CJ at AFM for the UK.

Jun Yun-su’s erotic costume drama Portrait Of A Beauty also sold to UniArt for Japan.
