Macedonian director Milcho Manchevski will head the short film competition jury
The Sarajevo Film Festival (July 22-30) has announced juries for its feature, documentary and short film competitions, as well as the jury for the festival’s European Film Awards short nominee.
The jury of the feature film competition will be headed by Israeli director Ari Folman, and includes the director of the Italian National Museum of Cinema Alberto Barbera, Bosnian actress Zana Marjanovic, US director-producer-writer Michelle Ohayon and Romanian writer-director Razvan Radulescu.
The jury of the documentary competition consists of Luciano Barisone, Italian journalist and film critic; Macedonian film director Biljana Garvanlieva, who last year won the Heart of Sarajevo for best documentary with Seamstresses; and US journalist and author David Rieff.
The jury of the short film competition will be headed by Macedonian director Milcho Manchevski. Jean-Christophe Berjon, the artistic director of the Cannes Critics’ Week, and Kosovan artist Erzen Shkololli round up the jury.
The jury for the Sarajevo short film nominee for the European Film Awards consists of Bosnian composer and sound designer Igor Camo, Croatian writer-director Zvonimir Juric whose Yellow Moon won best short film in Sarajevo last year, and US producer Caroline Libresco.
