EXCLUSIVE: Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Liv Tyler and Daniel Huttlestone from Les Misérables will star in the coming-of-age story London Town from Cargo Entertainment and Dutch Tilt Film and Killer FIlms.
Cargo head of sales Mark Lindsay has launched sales in Cannes on the story of music-infused story of a teenage boy who goes to London to find his estranged mother after she sends him a cassette tape of The Clash’s White Riot.
Derrick Borte, whose credits include The Joneses, will direct and the producers are Sofia Sondervan and Christine Vachon.
Alan Glazer, Matthew Brown and Steve and Renee Knox serve as executive producers. Kirsten Sheridan and Sonya Gildea wrote the screenplay with a rewrite by Matthew Brown.
Production is scheduled to start this summer and delivery is expected in the second quarter of 2014.
