Precious star Gabourey Sidibe will receive the festival’s Dallas Shining Star Award at the awards dinner on Apr 20 while costume designer Bernie Pollack is in line for a Dallas Star Award.
Festival top brass unveiled the roster for their South Korean International Spotlight and programmers James Faust and Sarah Harris have announced additional films to play in the Premiere Series, World Cinema and Deep Ellum Sounds categories.
Spotlight entries Punch, Quick and Secrets, Objects take their place alongside My Way and world premiere Let Me Out.
Dragon Age: Dawn Of The Seeker joins the Premieres Series while Tonight You’re Mine and Queens Of Country swell the ranks of the Deep Ellum Sounds strand.
New World Cinema entries are Policeman and Still Life and organsiers said Precious and the 60th anniversary of Singin’ In The Rain will play as special presentations alongside Aladdin.
