A Danny Boyle master class, a panel on the new wave of Arab film-makers and two Q&A sessions with Mira Nair and Elia Suleiman are among the highlights of the inaugural Doha Tribeca Film Festival’s (DTFF) series of dialogues.
Festival organisers are putting together a year-round schedule of talks, panel conversations and master classes, kicking off with a series of events during the festival itself, which runs from October 29-November 1.
Three Industry Conversations will explore the entertainment business, covering documentary film-making, film finance, and production and distribution in the global marketplace.
Guests include Ken Kamins, who played a pivotal role in the financing of The Lord Of The Rings and others, independent film agent and financier Cassian Elwes, and Half Nelson and Phoebe In Wonderland producer Lynette Howell.
“We’ve programmed a range of opportunities to engage Doha in the world of film-making like never before,” DTFF executive director Amanda Palmer said. “These panels and master classes complement our year-round education.”
