Jim Sturgess and Isabel Lucas star in Electric Slide, which has commenced production in Los Angeles. The film is a Myriad Pictures presentation of a Killer Films Production in association with Media House Capital. Myriad is handling international sales at the AFM and will partner with UTA on US rights.
Electric Slide is based on the true story of the owner of a posh furniture store who robbed a bank to impress his girlfriend and became a serial robber known as The Gentleman Bandit. Patricia Arquette, Chloë Sevigny and Christopher Lambert (have also joined the cast.
Tristan Patterson is directing from his screenplay. Myriad chief Kirk D’Amico produces alongside Hans Ritter and Killer Films’ Christine Vachon.
Media House Capital, 3 Point Capital and Venture Fourth Capital provided financing and Brad Simpson, Jacob Pechenik, Timothy Ford, Phillip von Alvensleben, Eric Eisner and Media House Capital’s Aaron Gilbert are among the executive producers.
Myriad’s svp of business affairs David Ducar and CFO Kevin Forester negotiated the financing.
