European elections will see the winners of the 67th Cannes Film Festival announced a day earlier.
The management team of the Cannes Film Festival has decided to reveal the winners of the 67th edition a day earlier, on May 24 (Sat), due to the European elections on May 25.
The traditional awards ceremony will take place at the Grand Théâtre Lumière.
The final film in competition will be shown on May 23 and the jury will meet the next day to select the winners, according to a statement from the festival.
The winners of Un Certain Regard award will be announced in the evening of May 23 and the Cinéfondation awards will be held the same afternoon, as usual.
All films in Official Selection will be screened again over the weekend of May 24-25 in the Palais theaters.
The Festival will close on May 25 with the screening of the Palme d’or.
