Industry platform and database Cinando has relaunched this week with a new design and new functionality.
The improvements include new a wider variety of search techniques, integration with social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter, and more prominence for the streaming video library.
The site now offers 2,500 titles streaming for buyers.
Another innovation allows sellers to invite buyers to download a personalised, protected copy of film to play on a computer, burn onto a DVD, or (next month) to play via iTunes.
The last Cinando major redesign had been four years ago. “In four years the way people use the internet has changed a lot,” noted Jerome Paillard, the Cannes Market director who launched Cinando.
The site has 35,000 registered users.
