The distributor has earmarked a spring 2012 release for the drama starring Shawn Doyle.
The story follows a disgraced former NHL star who returns home to Newfoundland where he must deal with a failed marriage, two precocious daughters and a realisation that he might be gay.
Ariztical owner Michael Jack Shoel brokered the deal with Charlotte Mickie of eOne Films International.
