ARC Entertainment in collaboration with Barry Gordon’s XLrator Media have partnered to acquire US rights to John Carpenter’s The Ward.

Amber Heard stars in the 1960s psychological thriller as a young woman trapped inside a mental institution who is terrorised by unseen forces.

Echo Lake’s Doug Mankoff, Andrew Spaulding and Mike Marcus produced with Peter Block of A Bigger Boat and FilmNation handled international sales.

XLrator Media’s Barry Gordon negotiated the deal with Cinetic Media’s John Sloss and Spaulding.

Last week ARC and XLrator Media acquired US rights to the medieval adventure Ironclad.
