Brooke Shields and Dick Van Dyke have joined Brendan Fraser in Summit Entertainment and Participant Media’s family comedy Furry Vengeance.
Ken Jeong and Samantha Bee also join Fraser and previously announced cast members Matt Prokop and Skyler Samuels. Roger Kumble will direct from a screenplay by Michael Carnes and Josh Gilbert.
Summit International commenced pre-sales at Berlin on the live-action project, which Robert Simonds is producing along with Keith Goldberg, who acquired the project during his executive tenure at New Line.
Fraser will play an ambitious real estate developer who faces off with a band of angry animals that inhabit the local wilderness.
Summit’s president of worldwide production and acquisitions Erik Feig, along with senior vice president of production Geoff Shaevitz and creative executive Ashley Schlaifer, will oversee the project for the studio. Ricky Strauss, Jonathan King and Erin Stam will oversee for Participant.
Shields is represented by UTA, Van Dyke and Bee by WME Entertainment, and Jeong is represented by The Gersh Agency.
