The lure of Eva Green and Ewan McGregor is leading to a flurry of pre-sales on TrustNordisk’s new drama, Last Word (working title).
The film, directed by David Mackenzie and currently shooting in Glasgow, has now been sold to South Korea (Entremode), Benelux (Wild Bunch) and Greece (Seven Films.)
Meanwhile, the company has also sold UK rights to Lukas Moodysson’s Mammoth, starring Gael Garcia Bernal, to Soda Pictures. The move marks a change of UK home for Moodysson, whose previous features have been released in Britain by Metrodome. It has also closed a pan-Latin American pay-TV deal on the film with CDC.
Meanwhile, Soda has also taken UK rights for Hans Christian Schmid’s first major international project Storm.
TrustNordisk’s Danish family film Time Trip - The Curse Of The Viking Witch has gone to MFA for Germany and Videx International SA for Latin America. While Norwegian wartime drama Max Manus has sold to Showgate for Japan and CTV for France.
