NonStop has taken Scandinavian rights to the Cannes opener.

NonStop Entertainment has picked up Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom for distribution in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.

The deal was negotiated with Focus Features International

Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman, Bruce Willis, Tilda Swinton, Frances McDormand and Edward Norton are among the cast.

Set on an island off the coast of New England in the summer of 1965, the film follows two 12-year-olds who fall in love, make a secret pact, and run away together into the wilderness.

Moonrise Kingdom will open the Cannes Film Festival on May 16 and gets its US premiere on May 25 through Focus Features.
