Solar Pictures has closed a multi-year output agreement with Italia Film for the Middle East, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Maldives.
Christopher Taylor, CEO of the Los Angeles-based film finance and production company, brokered the deal with Karlin Connections’ Penny Karlin on behalf of Italia.
“This is an important strategic partnership for Solar and a key first step in our quest to solidify distribution partnerships in territories worldwide as we expand our slate,” said Taylor.
“All of us at Solar Pictures have known and worked with Joseph, Penny and the Italia Film family for many years,” said Solar Pictures president of distribution Amy Beecroft [pictured]. “We’re very happy to officially join forces with Italia and look forward to a long, prosperous relationship.”
“We are honoured and thrilled to have been chosen to be part of this new and very promising adventure with Solar Pictures,” said Italia Film CEO and major partner Joseph Vincenti.
