German sales outfit confirms it will handle international on Berlin Competition entry
The Match Factory has picked up Bence Fliegauf’s [the director formerly known as Benedek] Berlin Competition entry Just The Wind.
Inspired by real events, the drama revolves around a gypsy family in Hungary which is targeted by a gang of racists. András Muhi and Monika Mécs produce for Inforg-M&M Film alongside co-producers The Post Republic Halle (Rebekka Garrido) and Paprika Films (Pierre-Emmanuel Fleurantin).
The Match Factory MD Michael Weber said: “We are thrilled to work with Bence for the second time. Just The Wind is an outstanding film with a relevant topic. Combined with Bence’s eye for visual style and the sucess of his previous films we are very proud to represent him.”
Hungarian director Fliegauf’s previous effort Womb, also handled by The Match Factory, premiered in Competition in Locarno in 2010. 2004 drama Dealer won the Audience Award in the Berlinale Forum while the director won a Golden Leopard in Locarno for 2007 feature Milky Way.
The Match Factory’s handled sales on 2010 Berlinale Golden Bear winner Bal.
