Currently in post-production and set for release next year, Foosball is about a boy whose table football players magically come to life and help him win back his childhood sweetheart.
The animation is being supervised by Sergio Pablos, who worked on Despicable Me and Rio, and the film is produced by Jorge Estrada Mora’s Jempsa in Argentina and Plural-Jempsa and Antena 3 Films in Spain. Executive producers are J J Campanella’s 100 Bares Productions and Gaston Gorali’s Catmandu Films, with the participation of Canal +, Antena 3, La Sexta and Telefé.
The deal was brokered for UPI Productions in London by Peter La Terriere, VP of international production, and Alexander Jooss, SVP of legal and business affairs. Film Factory Entertainment is selling international rights.
