Screen Media Rights has acquired US rights to Boaz Yakin’s erotic drama Death In Love starring Josh Lucas, Lukas Haas and Jacqueline Bisset.

The film, which also stars Adam Brody, tells the story of two brother trying to extricate themselves from the shadow of their Holocaust survivor mother’s dark past. Adam Brody also stars. The distributor is planning a July release.

Yakin wrote the screenplay and produced alongside Joseph Zolfo and the film premiered at Sundance 2008.

Screen Media president Robert Baruc and executive vice-president of Screen Media Ventures David Fannon negotiated the deal with Cinetic Media on behalf of Yakin.
