EXCLUSIVE: Lucas Webb joins London production outfit from Fox-Ingenious joint-venture.
Former Fox-Ingenious and TWC executive Lucas Webb has joined Working Title as vice president of development.
Webb previously held a bespoke London-based development role at the joint venture between financier Ingenious Media and Fox Searchlight since 2011.
While at Fox-Ingenious, the executive was responsible for identifying British features for production or distribution under the Fox Searchlight banner.
Among his developments at the outfit was a feature version of UK musical I Dreamed A Dream, based on the life story of singer Susan Boyle; Thomas Vinterberg’s Far From the Madding Crowd, which is being produced with DNA and BBC Films; and a feature about a woman who started a bellydancing school in a small UK village – a project which is being fast-tracked at the company.
Fox-Ingenious will be replacing Webb and currently has an offer out to a candidate.
Webb was previously vp, production and acquisitions at The Weinstein Company and director, production and acquisitions at Miramax Films.
He will report to Working Title development and production executive Amelia Granger.
