World’s biggest global pop-up festival has tripled in size since November with an audience of over 25,000.
Sam Taylor-Wood’s BAFTA-nominated Love You More and Nash Edgerton’s Bear, which played in Cannes and Sundance, are among the shorts announced to be screening during the Future Shorts Festival’s spring programme.
Running from March 1 to May 31, the spring programme also features Spike Jonze’s stop-motion To Die By Your Side and Amy Grappell’s documentary of a four-way affair, Quadrangle, with more to be announced soon.
The Future Shorts Festival now reaches a global audience of over 25,000 people across 55 countries and 150 cities with pop-up locations including a gallery space in Kabul, Afghanistan and a bamboo cinema in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
2011 Sundance-winner Deeper Than Yesterday and last year’s Golden Bear winner at Berlinale, Incident By A Bank, all featured in the recent winter programme of the festival.
