Principal photography on micro-budget feature Greyhawk has wrapped.
Bold Turtle Productions shot the urban film over three weeks on an estate in London’s east end.
It stars Alec Newman, best known from BBC TV series Waterloo Road, as Mal Walker – a British army veteran of Afghanistan, on the hunt for his missing best friend.
Jack Shepherd (Wycliffe, The Golden Compass) plays an unlikely guardian angel and Zoe Telford is cast as a put-upon mother on the estate.
Greyhawk marks the feature debut of writer-director team Matt and Guy Pitt and has been produced by Bold Turtle founder Tina Galovic.
“The script attracted a highly experienced team who turned impossible to beyond possible,” said Galovic.
Pitt added: “Greyhawk is a passion project in every sense. Each member of the cast and crew worked on it for love, first and foremost, and if ever there was a story of a man of passions and sorrow, this is it.”
The production is now in the process of raising completion funds for post-production and has begun discussions with UK distributors and sales companies.
