Mischa Barton, Sean Astin, John Hannah, Michael Biehn, Stelio Savante and Noureen DeWulf have joined the cast of thriller Kickback.

Written and directed by Raza Mallal and made by Talking Lens Productions, the crime thriller begins filming in Europe this autumn.

Based on a true story, Kickback follows a renegade Moscow detective investigating the murder of a female war journalist. He becomes embroiled in a web of counter espionage involving chemical warfare, and the assassination of the Russian president.

Mallal is co-producing the film with Kevan Van Thompson and executive producer Ilja Rosendahl. Director of photography is Douglas Milsome.
