Shebnem Askin-Schreger (pictured) will be on the Croisette touting Fox International Productions’ sales roster, which includes Vinessa Shaw in the remake of the 1976 Spanish thriller Who Can Kill A Child?
Child’s Play centres on a pregnant woman and her husband who are terrorised by possessed children while on vacation on a remote island. Ebon Moss and Daniel Gimenez Cacho star and Makinov directs the project, currently in post-production.
Also in post is the Viggo Mortensen Spanish-language thriller Everybody Has A Plan (Todos Tenemos Un Plan) about a disillusioned man who assumes the identity of recently deceased twin brother and becomes embroiled in the sibling’s criminal dealings in the Argentinian resort of Tigre Delta.
The cast includes Soledad Villamil, Javier Godino, Sofía Gala and Daniel Fanego and Ana Piterbarg directs.
The development slate include The Food Guide To Love, about a charismatic Irish food columnist who falls for a fiery Spanish museum curator. Teresa Peregrí and Dominique Harari will direct Richard Coyle and Leonor Watling.
FIP will screen Russian hit August 8th, Dzhanik Faiziyev’s epic set against the war with the Republic of Georgia about a Muscovite who sets off to rescue her son. Svetlana Ivanova, Maxim Matveev, Yegor Beroev and Alexander Oleshko star.
