Shooting is scheduled to begin in spring 2014 in New York

Steve Conrad will direct from his screenplay adapted from the book Belushi by Judith Belushi Pisano and Tanner Colby.

The project will chart Belushi’s life and career from hits such as Brothers and Animal House and a recurring role on Saturday Night Live in the 1970’s to his death at the age of 33 in 1982 at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.

Conrad wrote the screenplay for Fox’s upcoming December 25 release of Ben Stiller’s The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty as well as for Business Trip, which is currently in production with Vince Vaughn and Tom Wilkinson.

  • The celebrated surfer Bethany Hamilton has singed up for Alcon Entertainment’s Dolphin Tale 2 alongside the returning cast from the 2011 original, Harry Connick Jr, Morgan Freeman, Kris Kristofferson and Ashley Judd. The film is currently shooting in Floria and Warner Bros has scheduled a September 19 2014 release.
  • Jane Seymour has joined the cast of Laurie Weltz’s coming-of-age tale Scout for BrownBag Pictures and Decipher Entertainment. The cast includes Nikki Reed, Ellen Burstyn, Danny Glover, India Ennenga, James Frecheville and Onata Aprile.
