Chicago-based Dark Sky Films has commenced production on James Felix 4K McKenney’s feature Hypothermia.

Michael Rooker (pictured) stars alongside Greg Finley, Don Wood, Ben Forster and Amy Chang on the Maine-set tale of about a mysterious creature beneath a lake.

Dark Sky’s Derek Curl is producing in partnership with Larry Fessenden, Peter Phok and Brent Kunkle of Glass Eye Pix.

The film is being produced in association with Offhollywood Pictures, which will play a key role in the 4K filming process using the Red One digital camera.

Dark Sky Films is a wholly owned subsidiary of The MPI Media Group.
