The low budget cross cultural comedy is being partly financed via crowdfunding.

Brenda Lee’s cross cultural comedy Fortune Cookies is to shoot at Elstree Studios.

Produced by Becky Adams for Reelscape Films, the social enterprise project will star Elaine Tan (Starter For Ten), David Yip (Chinese Detective), Pik Sen Lim (The Ruby In The Smoke), Ozzie Yue (Act of Grace) and real life quiz show host turned actor Les Dennis.

Running alongside the production process there will be a 16 week education programme offering work experience opportunities to school children as well as chances to attend script workshops and be extras on the film.
