EXCLUSIVE: Los Angeles-based Iconic Media Production has lined up a North Carolina shoot for $10m drama The Five.

The project recounts the true story of five young African American scholarship students who battle racism at a private Christian school in the Deep South.

Iconic has earmarked a fourth quarter start and CEO Judi Bell will produce alongside screenwriter Matt Nicholas, who will also star.

Bell expects to announce the director and additional cast shortly.
