The British actress, whose career was launched by UK TV series Skins, will replace The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo actress Rooney Mara who was previously attached to play the lead.

The film about a disturbed adolescent girl who becomes close to her neighbour who looks identical to her recently deceased mother, is being produced by Matthew Brady for his Los Angeles-based MRB Productions.

Gregorini previously wrote, directed and produced the 2009 indie drama Tanner Hall.
