Goldcrest is handling international sales on David Riker’s road movie which just wrapped shooting in Texas and Mexico.
Shooting has wrapped in Austin Texas and Oaxaca Mexico on David Riker’s The Girl, starring Abbie Cornish.
Riker wrote and directed the feature about a young woman who embarks on a journey across Mexico with a newly orphaned eight year old girl, played by newcomer Maritza Santigo Hernandez. The Mighty Heart actor Will Patton also stars.
The film is produced by Paul Mezey’s Journeyman Pictures together with Christian Valdelievre, Tania Zarak and Douglas Cummins. Philipp Engelhorn of Cinereach Films and Nick Quested of Goldcrest Films are executive producing.
Goldcrest is handling worldwide sales on the project.
