He will star alongside actor/singer Ashley ‘Bashy’ Thomas and David Harewood in the film which is directed by Dan Turner and will shoot in the North East of the UK.
Peter Mullan and Ashley Thomas (also known as recording artist Bashy), will head up the cast of British psychological thriller The Man Inside, which is gearing up to shoot in Newcastle.
Written and diected by Dan Turner, the film centres around a young boxer, played by Thomas, who is haunted by the legacy of his brutal gangster father. Mullan plays his coach and surrogate father.
The film will also star Michelle Ryan, Jason Maza and Ray Panthaki.
The project has received £140,000 in funding from Northern Film & Media’s Creative Content Fund, which has also put money into football doc One Night In Turin and Face Films’ upcoming feature January.
Dean Fisher is producing The Man Inside for Scanner Rhodes Productions together with co-producer Ray Panthaki for Urban Way Productions.
Kaleidoscope Entertainment is distributing the film in the UK, with Kaleidoscope Film Distribution handling international sales.
