Principal photography has ended in New Orleans on the crime tale Cogan’s Trade, which reunites Pitt with The Assassination Of Jesse James director Andrew Dominik.
Pitt (pictured on set) plays Jackie Cogan, a professional enforcer hired to investigate the robbery of a mob-protected poker game. The cast includes Ben Mendelsohn, Richard Jenkins, Ray Liotta, James Gandolfini, Scoot McNairy and Sam Shepard.
The Weinstein Company holds domestic rights and is planning a 2012 release. Inferno Distribution is handling international sales. CAA helped packaged the project.
The film is inspired by a George V Higgins novel. Pitt and Dede Gardner produced through Plan B Entertainment along with Paula Mae Schwartz and Steve Schwartz for Chockstone Pictures.
Executive producers are Marc Butan, Megan Ellison, Bill Johnson, Anthony Katagas, Jim Seibel, Adi Shankar and Spencer Silna.
