Tom Hardy has teamed up with LA-based Solar Pictures to play an SAS veteran returning from the Middle East who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder as he tries to reintegrate into society.

Brothers Greg and Olly Williams wrote the screenplay to Samarkand and Hardy, Bobby Paunescu of Solar Pictures and the Williams brothers developed the project.

Photographer Greg Williams will make his feature directorial debut. His short film Sergeant Slaughter – My Big Brother starred Hardy and won best director at the New York, Chicago and San Francisco Short Film festivals.
