Based on the childhood of reggae legend Bob Marley, the feature will be pitched at the upcoming AFM.

Wild Salome producer Barry Navidi is teaming up with UK based Cloud Media Entertainment to develop a 3D animation feature based on Cedella Marley’s childrens’ book The Boy from Nine Miles.

The story is inspired by the childhood of Cedella’s late father, reggae legend Bob Marley. It is also being turned into a musical theatre production.

Cedella Marley will be closely involved with the project, which is a collaboration between Navidi and Camilla Storey for Cloud Media Entertainment.

She is also involved with Kevin Macdonald’s upcoming documentary Marley, which will be released in 2012.
