EXCLUSIVE: Ahead of its world premiere at SXSW today [March 11], the VHS documentary has signed with Cinetic Rights Management for US representation.

Josh Johnson’s Rewind This! has signed with Cinetic Rights Management for US representation.

The independent documentary, which charts the cultural and historical impact of VHS, is one of the buzz titles of SXSW and receives its world premiere today [March 11] at the festival.

Sales consultant Evokative Films worked on the deal for IPF Productions.

Rewind This! is the first feature film from Texas-based IPF Productions and shot in North America as well as abroad, including a two-week shoot in Japan. The film was partially funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign, which saw $23,000 raised from a $15,000 target.

Alongside its world premiere at The Paramount Theatre, Rewind This! also screens at SXSW on March 12, 13 (both at the Violet Crown Cinema) and 16 (Topfer Theatre).
