Sarajevo Film Festival’s development and financing strand, CineLink, has revealed the projects selected for the 2013 edition.

More than 90 projects from 18 countries across south-eastern Europe were submitted, from which 16 projects were selected.

CineLink, described as the “backbone” of Sarajevo’s industry section, is a development and financing platform for local feature projects destined for European co-production.

There are two strands: CineLink and CineLink +. The respective criteria for selection is authors potential and strength of the story on one side and potential benefit for the project from our development workshops and the coproduction market on the other.

The average conversion rate of its selected projects from development to production is more than 60% in the past 10 years.

Eight projects selected in the CineLink line-up will participate in the Preparatory Workshop where the directors and producers will work on the scripts as well as the financial, legal and marketing aspects of their projects prior to the market.

All 16 projects selected will be presented at the CineLink Co-Production Market during the 19th Sarajevo Film Festival from August 21-24.

Additional titles will be added to the selection in the upcoming weeks.
