Dakota Blue Richards, also known for her lead role in The Golden Compass, stars in the thriller produced by Sean McConville.
Frenzy Films production The Quiet Hour, starring Dakota Blue Richards (Skins), Jack McMullen (Waterloo Road) and Karl Davies (Game of Thrones), is currently shooting in Tipperary, Ireland.
The film, written and directed by Stephanie Joalland, follows two young siblings trapped in a farmhouse during the aftermath of an extra-terrestrial invasion.
Producers are Sean Mcconville (Deadline) and Daniel Higley. Executive producers are US-based Ralph S. Bovard and Jon O’Neal of Flint Hill Studios, with support from Elliot Grove of Raindance.
McConville is now considering spinning the feature into a TV series, written by him and Joalland.
McConville has also written and will direct feature scripts The Car – an Off-Frontieres project at Montreal’s Fantasia International Festival - and Vampire United. The former is due to be made in the US or Canada, while the latter would shoot in North Yorkshire, UK.
