Quentin Tarantino will be awarded the 5th Lumiere Award at the Lumiere festival in France.
Selected by Bertrand Tavernier, Thierry Frémaux and the team from the Institut Lumière, the lifetime achievement award will be presented on the closing night of the festival, which runs between October 14-18 in Lyon, France.
Tarantino, director of Django Unchained, Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill, will attend the festival to receive the award.
Previous winners of the award include Clint Eastwood, Milos Forman, Gérard Depardieu and Ken Loach.
