Dallas Buyers Club producer Truth Entertainment and writer-director Joe Tripician are starting work on a new project about father-daughter grifters.
Texas-based US independent Truth Entertainment has begun pre-production on Team Joy, a drama about a father-daughter grifter team written and to be directed by Joe Tripician (pictured).
Truth, one of the production companies on Dallas Buyers Club, is currently casting the project and plans to start principal photography in early 2017.
The company’s Joe Newcomb and Tripician, an Emmy-winning producer, writer-director and playwright known for public television documentary Mataphoria, will act as producers.
Truth is currently filming The Tribes of Palos Verdes, with Jennifer Garner, and is in pre-production for The Nobistor Affair and Ruby’s Prayer.
Newcomb described Team Joy as “a film that will resonate with audiences: every person worries about the hidden dangers of the internet and what can happen when your information falls in the wrong hands. Joe has written an excellent script and with his vision, I’m excited to bring it to life.”
