Directed by Losey, from the illustrations by Jessica Albarn, the film is narrated by Jude Law with a soundtrack by Damon Albarn.

Jessica Albarn and director Luke Losey have plans to develop their short film The Boy in the Oak, into a full length feature.

Based on the illustrated book, The Boy In the Oak, by artist Jessica Albarn (who is Damon Albarn’s sister), the short tells the story of a lonely boy who discovers an old oak tree in the garden of his family home, combining illustrations by Albarn with animation and live action.

The short is produced by Alcove Entertainment, the company behind Harmony Korine’s Trash Humpers.
