Second edition of workshop to run Aug 31-Sept 1 as part of the Venice Film Market.
Venice International Film Festival has announced the dates of this year’s Final Cut in Venice.
The second edition of the workshop will run Aug 31-Sept 1 as part of the Venice Film Market and will see six films selected and presented as work-in-progress copies to producers, buyers, distributors and organisers of international film festivals.
Venice intends to provide support to complete films coming from African countries, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and Syria. Deadline for registration is June 20.
Prizes to be awarded include up to 50 hours of work for colour correction of a feature-length film, €10,000 for the cost of post-production in France and up to €10,000 for visual effects and special effects.
Final Cut in Venice is held in collaboration with Mactari Mixing Audiorium, CNC, Knightworks,Festival International du Film d’Amiens, Festival International de Films de Fribourg, Titra TVS, Laser Film, Rai Cinema and Sub-Ti Ltd.
