Ricky Rijneke’s debut feature film, Silent Ones, will be sold by French agent Wide management.

The picture, which is nominated for the Tiger Awards at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) and selected for the IFFR’s CineMart in 2010, tells the story of a young woman who leaves aboard a cargo ship to keep her promise of finding a better life, after her little brother’s disappearance.

Silent Ones, produced by Rotterdam Films, saw director Rijneke use a range of European talent including lead actress Orsi Tóth, composer Andrey Dergatchev and D.O.P’s Gergely Pohárnok, and Jean-Paul de Zaeytijd.
