American Cinema International president Chevonne O'Shaughnessy and Promenade Pictures president and COO Cindy Bond have launched the faith-based production, marketing and sales company Mission Pictures.
The partners plan to release six to eight films a year and have been talking to AFM buyers about the initial slate, headed by the CGI feature Noah's Ark: The New Beginning featuring the vocal talents of Michael Keaton, Marcia Gay Harden, Rob Schneider and Nicollette Sheridan.
David Wood has been named executive vice president and will act as the liaison between Mission and the faith-based community, working with groups such as the Mission America Coalition.
