Rachel McAdams has been named ShoWest 2005 supporting actress of the year and will collect her award at the closing night ceremony in Las Vegas on Mar 17.
McAdams will next be seen opposite Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn in the New Line comedy The Wedding Crashers and Wes Cravens' thriller Red-Eye for DreamWorks.
She recently began production on Fox 2000's drama The Family Stone with Diane Keaton and Claire Danes and previous credits include The Notebook and Mean Girls.
As previously announced, Matt Damon and Jennifer Aniston are male and female stars of the year, Catalina Sandina Moreno is international star of the year, George Lucas receives the ShoWest Galactic Achievement Award, and Drew Barrymore receives the ShoWest Distinguished Decade of Achievement in Film award.
Rob Cohen is director of the year, Hayden Christensen is male star of tomorrow, Jessica Biel is female star of tomorrow, Bernie Mac is comedy star of the year, and Brad Bird is animation director of the year.
ShoWest takes place from Mar 14-17.
