The Spanish company financed and co-produced Vicky Cristina Barcelona, the Spanish-language comedy currently in post-production that Wild Bunch is selling at EFM and The Weinstein Company acquired recently for North America.
Allen plans to return to his beloved New York this spring to film an untitled project before the three-film deal with MediaPro kicks in next year.
The films will be co-produced by Gravier and have been set for production in 2009, 2010 and 2011 at undetermined locations.
'Vicky Cristina Barcelona was a dream come true,' MediaPro's Jaume Roures said. 'We are very proud to be working with one of the World's best film-makers. Our ambition is be where the talent is and we are always happy to create long term relationships with our partners.'
'Working with MediaPro on Vicky Cristina was a pleasure,' Allen said. 'They have a terrific team and I'm excited to establish an ongoing partnership with this dynamic group. I can rest assured that my next three pictures are in good hands.'
Roures and Javier Mendez brokered the deal with Allen's longtime producing partners Letty Aronson and Stephen Tenenbaum.
