EXCLUSIVE: Nymphomaniac star joins cast of Ben Wheatley’s Recorded Picture Company thriller.
Nymphomaniac star Stacy Martin has joined the cast of Ben Wheatley’s upcoming thriller High-Rise.
Martin joins Tom Hiddleston, Jeremy Irons, Sienna Miller, Luke Evans and Elisabeth Moss in the anticipated dystopian thriller which is due to get underway in Belfast in July, with Jeremy Thomas producing through Recorded Picture Company.
The in-demand actress will take on the character ‘Fay’ in the feature about the lives of an affluent community cut off from society in a luxury block of flats.
Martin is currently shooting Matteo Garrone’s English-language debut The Tale of Tales, which also stars Salma Hayek, Vincent Cassel and John C. Reilly.
Based on a collection of fairy tales by 17th century Italian author Giambattista Basile, Martin plays the character ‘Young Dora’ in the film which explores the yearning for youth and physical beauty, generational conflict and the struggle for power.
Screen understands that the former Screen International Star of Tomorrow is also attached to director Nicolas Saada’s next film Taj Mahal, which is due to shoot in Paris and India later this year.
