Javier Bardem will receive the 22nd annual Palm Springs International Film Festival’s (PSIFF) International Star Award on January 8, 2011.
Bardem currently stars in Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s Spanish-language drama Biutiful, which has been selected as Mexico’s foreign language Oscar submission.
The actor won the 2008 supporting actor Academy Award for No Country For Old Men and his credits include Before Night Falls, Goya’s Ghosts and Love In The Time Of Cholera. He is currently in production on Terrance Malick’s next feature.
The festival is scheduled to run from January 6-17, 2011.
